Bought a 220 compressor second hand by mistake a while back, and never got 220 installed into my garage.

Is it possible to use a step up converter to run this?

Can't help you with the converter question, but perhaps the motor is convertible. My table saw will run on 220 or 110 just by switching a few wires around. Check under the cover plate on the motor- it may have instructions.

X2 thats how my old compressor was, had instructions on the inside of the inspection cover on the motor how to switch it over.
