Just looking for some advice on around a 4 inch lift, I was think of a teraflex 8 short arm kit. What will I really gain by going to a long arm kit, I would say I will be doing 50 on road and 50 off road, its just a toy not a daily driver. I don't think I will want anything bigger that a 35 maybe a 37 tire.

I'd say the short arm kit would be fine for you. Long arm kit is going to help with articulation. That's about it on a JK. I'd say save the money and invest in some good shock with the short arm kit.

Are there any short arm kits that I should steer clear of.

Don't know much about Bolt on lifts anymore. Some of the other guys might have more insight. Or go down and talk to the guys at 4wp. They sell a lot of them and can let you know what must guys run. Also mention your with the club and you'll get better pricing.

I would not do a 4 inch lift for 35 or 37 tires.......3 inch Teraflex with 8 arms is perfect, and some good fenders

My wife's 3" Teraflex with arms on 40's
