What are you driving? Year and model, please (4 or 6 cylinder helps too).

Umm, She's a 1993 yj (the engine and tranny are out of a 97') 4 cylinder.

Actually just got back from her maiden voyage out west of rocky and down through the foresty trunk rd. I need tires more than I could have anticipated lol. So those are on the list :P

Been a while since anything was posted here I see.
I broke down 3 times in 2 years on the trunk, thank god I had equipment. The first was a sensor in my tranny went and I had to get friends to come out the Caroline way and tow me back to Tay River campground. AMA picked me up from there, first time I used it in 10 years! 1 month later I blew the ATF line and thought I was prepared as I had blown the power steering line the week before and brought tubing, clamps, tools, and fluid... then I noticed the fluid was pink. Luckily I was at the intersection leading to Sundre and it was a long weekend. A fella stopped and gave me some ATF and I limped back. Last year my alternator went and my buddy towed me back to... Tay river camp ground where AMA came and got me again!
Bottom line, I add to my "kits" every year. I learn something new every time, I try to keep everything compact, but fully rounded. Seperate kit bags of recovery, rescue, first aid, escential fluids and gas.

Recovery/Rescue/first aid/etc:
tow & recovery straps/tree saver
clevises
snatch block
short tow chain
gloves
bungies
folding army shovel
jumpers
seperate jumper/ power unit
hack saw
pliers
vicegrips
multi driver
socket set, metric and imperial
duct tape/ electrical tape
flashlights
batteries
tire foam (in case you've gone throgh the spare already)
hose clamps
assorted glues & adhesives
decent jack
fire extinguisher (I still need one of these)
First aid kit ***bring tampons, I'm big into firearms and this is the best field dressing for a gunshot wound especialy a sucking wound. it will swell and act as an internal tourniquet.***
flares
GPS & cell phone
fire starter
all relevant fluids in a reasonable quantity
extra fuel
camping supplies if you are far out there

My main carry at all times (in city as well) is the recovery, rescue and fluid kit as well as a medium socket set.
Be prepared, be safe.

GO HAVE FUN, AS LONG AS IT ISN'T AT SOMEONE ELSES EXPENSE! ( SOME OF US ARE ARMED)

See you at the top.
