So I figured it’s about time I started writing some of the stuff I been doing down. LOL. It’s been a while since I posted anything on the ’67, so I figured I bring everyone up to speed.

Started with my second Jeepster. This one was a lot more complete then the last and was not a bull nose or CJ conversion.

I removed the frame and stripped it of all the leaf spring mounts and brackets. Slung it back under and put it up on stand. Bolted the 6.0L LQ4 to a 4L60e & flipped D300 and stuffed it into the very narrow frame rails.

Welded in some motor mounts from advanced adapters.

With the engine all mocked into place I stripped both the 14B and HP D60 of all their factory brackets and mounts and stuff them in their respective positions. While in the States this summer I pick up some link kits from ruff stuff for the front and rear. The brackets and tabs from them are really nice. Bent some tub and tacked a truss on the back axle and plated it. Figured out where I had room for the frame mounts and tacked them in place. Ordered some coil mounts and keepers from TMR and some springs off Kijiji. Hopefully put those in this weekend.

That pretty much where I’m at now. Ill post some more pictures tonight when I get home.

Coming along nicely sir.

What's the length of your front links on that machine?

Just have the rear links at the moment. Front links are on the docket for this weekend.

So the rear is all done as far as the links go. Everything clears the frame and crossmembers. I got a start on the front. Panhard on the axle and frame are on and the axle upper link mount is in place. Space for the frame upper link mount is a head scratcher. Bellhousing, exhaust, trans and frame all want to occupy the same space. [POUTING FACE]. Got some ideas but only time will tell. Stoped at Mopac today while I was in edm and picked up a trans cable and brackets.

So had a little time today and managed to get the front link mounts all tacked into place and the links all mocked up. Exhaust is gonna be a rear pain in the ass, but everything cant be easy. Rear coil buckets are in. Next is the front coilover mounts and tie ins

Starting to come together. Link mounts are now finish welding. Thanks dad. Lol. Axles are welded out with link mounts and the gears and locker are in the rear. Links are welded up and painted. Steering wheel is fixed and tight. Brake booster mount is done. Won't be long now. [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
